If you don’t know by now, I’m a big wrestling fan and now that I have a blog, I feel like I can share with you some of my thoughts on certain events. I’m not one of those people who has to analyze and review every fucking show. I like to choose ones that are worth mentioning. This one in particular has a gimmick that I kinda like where there’ll be a TLC match, and a singles match for each component of a TLC match. I’ve already gone ahead and posted my thoughts on the WGW and TSE forums but more on that later. Lemme give you about the same details that I revealed on those sites.
So this time around we have WWE’s TLC: Tables Ladders and Chairs presented by the TLC channel with a musical performance by TLC. Something tells me this PPV will be a big hit.
ECW Champion Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin (Ladder Match) – A lotta hype about this one going to steal the show Sunday according from the two competitors heading into this match. Don’t think that will happen seeing how this will probably be the match to kick us off for the night. Nonetheless, I expect great entertainment from these two as they’ll put everything on the line for the second fiddle Intercontinental Championship, the ECW title. With that being said, with Shelton’s shitty mic skills I see Christian still retaining through this.
Intercontinental Champion John Morrison vs. Drew McIntyre – Here’s a match that I feel should’ve had some sort of gimmick to it. With the shenanigans that Morrison had as trying to be William Wallace from Braveheart and subsequently slicing himself open with a sword, doesn’t excuse that Drew McIntyre kicked his ass on SD! two weeks ago. Going with McIntyre for new IC champ.
Womens Champion Michelle McCool vs. Mickie James – Hopefully Mickie James with the dumb shit that she had to endure the past few weeks. Otherwise, McCool is phenominal in bed.
Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton – Another match that I feel should’ve had a stip to it, especially with that sick table spot in the tech area on RAW a few weeks back. These two have been pretty heated with each other. However, you gotta factor in Legacy is the possible bamboozling they’ll try to pull in this match. Goin’ with Orton.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Batista (Chair Match) – The who cares in what the fuck match would’ve been an appropriate dub for this match. Seriously, these two have gone at it how many times now? Too many? Thought so. Also, what the fuck is a chairs match? I know it’s probably something where chairs will be legal but c’mon, since when has there been a chairs match. That’s right, never because creative at one time wasn’t in a phase of throwing shit at a wall and seeing what sticks. Going with Batista to pull an upset here.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Sheamus (Tables Match) – John Cena vs John Sheamus. A week or so back, I said on WGW that this was going to be a tough call to pick between because of the humongous push Sheamus was recieving and the fact that Sheamus is workout buddies with HHH. However a week or so back, there was a claim that John Cena cut a promo overseas about how he wants a rematch with Sheamus. So with that, I’m putting all my eggs into my basket that Sheamus will pull an upset over Cena
Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. D-Generation X (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match) – I expect this to be the final match of the night which is saying something cause it’s only for the Tag Titles. I would like to see a daisy chain of them hanging off the hook. They’ll probably just have one of each suspended from the hook there. Going with DX seeing how they just did a christmas promo and y’know, it’s DX. Not only that, I think Jerishow’s reign with the tag titles is over and that Jericho will probably feud with whoever wins the WHC match.
If I had it on me, this would definitely be an “order pizza” Pay Per View and if booked right, could be a quite memorable one to say the least. Granted that’s putting a lot of stock into WWE, but it could happen. Anyway, I’ll be doing live Match-by-Match coverage along with anything notable in between at the following forums:
If you’re lucky and if the PPV’s not complete shit, I’ll type up some sort of summary afterwards.
